Inside Fivevet’s Veterinary Drug Manufacturing Facility - From Raw Materials to Finished Products (Part II)

Ngày đăng: 05/11/2026

Continuing from Inside Fivevet’s Veterinary Drug Manufacturing Facility: From Raw Materials to Finished Products (Part I) (Chèn link phần 1), Fivevet will introduce finished product testing, its QA/QC system, and storage requirements in Part II, explaining how these help maintain product quality before products reach partners and customers.
5. Finished Product Testing: Each Dosage Form Has Its Own Specifications
Once manufacturing is complete, finished products are tested against their respective quality specifications. Tests include identification, active ingredient assay, impurities, dosage form properties, and microbiological testing, depending on the applicable requirements.
Test results are one of the factors used to assess a drug batch’s quality before it is approved for release.
In addition to finished products, Fivevet tests incoming raw materials, primary packaging that comes into direct contact with the drug, and intermediate products during manufacturing, helping control quality at each stage.

6. Fivevet’s QA/QC System and Quality Control Before Batch Release
At Fivevet, finished product testing is connected with the quality assurance system to control products throughout manufacturing, from incoming raw materials to batch release approval.
QC generally focuses on:
- Sampling.
- Quality specifications.
- Testing.
- Analytical methods.
- Evaluation of results.
QA has a broader scope, covering the entire quality assurance system.
A product batch should not be approved for release solely because its finished product test results meet specifications. The authorized person or department also needs to review:
- Manufacturing records.
- Packaging records.
- Test results.
- In-process controls.
- Deviations and related investigation findings.
- The completeness of batch records.
Out-of-specification test results need to be investigated and assessed according to appropriate procedures before decisions are made about the product batch.
Combining finished product testing with a review of manufacturing records and other relevant quality information gives Fivevet a basis for assessing each batch as a whole, rather than relying on a single test result.
For international importers and distributors, the QA/QC system and the ability to trace production batch information are important factors when assessing a manufacturer’s quality management capabilities and suitability for a long-term partnership.
7. Product Stability Control and Storage at Fivevet
Veterinary pharmaceuticals must meet quality specifications at release and maintain that quality throughout their shelf life when stored under the specified conditions.
At Fivevet, manufacturing is connected with storage facilities that meet WHO-GSP standards, helping maintain storage conditions suited to the requirements of each product group while in storage.
Stability study data also play an important role in establishing and assessing:
- Shelf life: Providing a scientific basis for determining how long a product maintains its quality attributes within the applicable specifications.
- Storage conditions: Identifying temperature, humidity, or other product-specific storage requirements.
- Packaging selection: Assessing whether packaging materials and specifications are suitable for protecting product quality.
- Distribution conditions: Providing a technical basis for reviewing storage and transportation requirements during distribution.
