A modern research and development center
Fivevet’s research and development center covers more than 1,000 m². Its physicochemical, microbiology, virology, and bacteriology laboratories are built according to GLP-WHO and ISO 17025 standards and are equipped with a wide range of modern research and analytical equipment.
The center also has a Biosafety Level 3 laboratory, allowing research and product development involving high-risk infectious agents, including the viruses that cause foot-and-mouth disease and avian influenza.
This foundation enables Fivevet to take a more proactive approach to researching, evaluating, and refining products before they enter production. Research and development activities also help the company build a diverse product portfolio that meets different needs across livestock production systems.
Testing and field trials before products enter the market
After the research stage, products are tested on laboratory animals and evaluated under real-world farm conditions. The test animals listed in Fivevet’s company profile include rabbits, ducks, and laboratory mice.
Field trials are also conducted on animals at FiveFarm, a farm with 100,000 laying hens, as well as at several other farms. This process helps monitor and evaluate the feasibility of each product under real-world conditions before it is introduced to the market. III. A MANUFACTURING SYSTEM WITH 15 GMP-WHO PRODUCTION LINES
One of the foundations of Fivevet’s large-scale veterinary drug manufacturing capabilities in Vietnam is its modern manufacturing system, which covers more than 4,000 m² and includes 15 production lines that meet international GMP-WHO standards:
- 7 non-beta-lactam production lines for powders, oral liquids, injectables, tablets, granules, ointments, and eye drops.
